There is NO SUCH THING AS A SCIENTIFIC FACT. This isn't math. There are no scientific proofs. The gold standard is the "Theory". That is the absolute best you can do. A scientific theory has never been disproven. Theories have been revised and reworded yes but a scientific theory has never been disproven or it is no longer a theory. The undereducated who Trump so dearly loves get this word confused with hypothesis because of cop shows on TV. The detective says. "I have a theory on who committed the crime" If I could go back in time I would go to Hollywood and tell every creative writer on every TV show to use the word. Hypothesis. Hypotheses can be wrong.

Considering there have been many "theories" than have been dismissed in the past after further investigation, it's perfectly acceptable to say it's only a theory.
