More great press for Rahne and team's recruiting efforts, and the "need for speed":

Do you really feel like Bobby would’ve accomplished signing these same kids cause I sure as hell don’t. Don’t know how you can even ask that without it being a joke.

"Old Dominion Monarchs
The overall recruiting rankings may not show it, but ODU had a fantastic NSD. Left for dead in December after a 1-11 season under former head coach Bobby Wilder, the impact Ricky Rahne has had cannot be understated. Throughout the day on Wednesday, the Monarchs were reeling in one three-star recruit after another, ending the day with 21 total players. The early part of the class was comprised of eight three-stars, and is now filled with 17. To put this into perspective, ODU has more three-star players than higher-profile programs like Illinois, SMU, Houston, and Virginia Tech."

Raw numbers can be deceiving. What if Tech only had 14 slots available?

No, I didn't say that at all. But read what you want.

No. I read it the same way as Mo.

Read the links that other people have posted. BW and staff had a bad rep with many coaches locally and across the state.

You can't compare the impact of a new HC whose previous team was in the hunt for a CFP spot and one with 3 losing seasons out of 4 leading up to that historic and awesome 1-11 season. Best 1-11 team in the history of College Football.

Give us a break.

No I was simply asking if any of these guys were on the radar before RR, if not great RR is the messiah.

The six players of the 18 who signed early, were recruited by the old staff.

Understood and Im sure they were on the radar but I would also bet Booby and the former staff werent banking on them committing. As another stated, it isnt a secret that Booby didnt have great relationships with the local coaches.

RE: Football Recruiting: 2020
Obviously everyone has an opinion here but I don't see any reason to be ripping on Bobby. The man's legacy here is far more positive than negative. It will be great to have him back in 5 or so years and give him a proper send off. The man put his life into the job.

Turning the page- RR and staff have certainly made a great first impression. I'm hoping first year results, whether they are 2-10 or 4-8 are met with patience. He needs a couple of years to fully put his stamp on the program.

Can't wait to see what the playbook offers on both sides of the ball.

He did?

Granted he missed the last game, but that seems thin to call him injury prone based on that.

I'm not sure if this has been noted... And yes, i am aware of the critic 247 revives. However, i think its pretty interesting. The caliber of the player that comes out of a Virginia high school goes without say. Of the top 34 recruits in VA, only 4 are not committed top p5 school. 3 of them are ODU commits and the other is ECU's. The List of schools that kids ranked slightly above the ODU commits are phenomenal. That says something to me!
