Worst part of those wild, off balance, 40ft 3s is that they go in JUST enough to make him think he should keep taking the shots. Personally, I don't care if he makes 8 out of 10, it is a BAD shot and should not be taken.

So you are not in favor of seth curry"s shot selection either. I don't believe he makes 80% either but if he did you would prefer he not shoot them.

I will answer that question after you finish explaining how you just compared freshman Tyler Harris to Steph Curry in any realistic way for me to be able to answer.

His point remains the same. You said Tyler Harris shouldn't take a wild, off-balance 40-foot three-point attempt even he makes 8 out 10. So you wouldn't want a guy to connect on 80% of his three pointers out of principle? I'm lost. If he makes 8 out 10, I'd let him shoot the ball every time from wherever he wanted. I'd let him punt the ball if made it 8 out of 10 times (and the refs said it was legal).

Unless he is a better shot than Curry, I think what was probably meant was, if he made 8 of 10 he'd continue forever shooting them and go 8 for 100 the rest of the season. Nobody could possibly mean that if he consistently shot 80% he would want them to stop.

Right. All it does is impress the idea that he can make the shot and keep taking the shot. When he doesn't make it enough to consider it a good shot.

sorry if that didn't come across clearly. I thought the first sentence about it giving him just enough reason to keep taking the shot explained the point I was making.

I would be happy with 4 of 10.
