wrongggggggggg.....
it screws the center bulk TTT....
the 'sip is hardly compatible with the west coast, NE, or those dipshites in MN....
all it will do is ensure job elimination becomes the norm....
Let me say it differently because I don't think I'm being clear....
I didn't mean it made more jobs.... I mean it made more jobs min wage. See Olive and Blue's comment. You will have people with GEDs making the same wages as people with technical degrees and even perhaps advanced degrees.
wasn't arguing that point...my point was jobs go away in the geo-center ...
Quote:Minimum wage jobs should be for people with minimum skills and work ethic. People with minimum skills and work ethic shouldn't be able to support themselves on their own. They should need to have help from family, roommates or the government (people with differences).
why is that...illegals already play '20 under one roof'.....when those jobs no longer become cost effective via tech replacement, why continue to go down that path
Quote:Seriously, the left decries the high cost of education and then devalues the result of that education for most of the people they claim to want to help. Why GET an advanced degree if you get paid the same minimum wage as someone who doesn't?
education can't evolve quickly enough after the past 40 yrs....rising costs are comparable to wealth division on the perimeter vs. in the impact on the interior....
hence, the macro problem...
if I had my druthers, I tie annual min. wage increases to the inflation rate....
therefore, sticker shock is avoided across the board when 'jumps' find the trampoline into hard clay....
that's my simple thinking....

Because they don’t value STEM or career technical degrees. They favor gender studies.

that's what happens when one steers to supporting the geriatrics while ignoring what was built during their tenure....

Not my fault, not my problem.
If you want $15/hr, PROVE to the boss you're WORTH IT.
Exactly. Screwing up a cheeseburger order isn't the way to prove it.
and also..... is there anyone on the left who understands simple basic economics? Even 1 person? We know Bernie doesn't. We know the horse toothed bartender doesn't. We know Omar doesn't. Surely, the liberals can find 1 person on their side who gets it.
they're lost in space with gaps in their 'teeth'....

Curious, what does Iron Man actor Robert Downey, Jr. say on the matter...or Spiderman actor Tobey Maguire?

I started as an architectural intern making $15/hour quite recently. I've since improved dramatically and I'm now fully licensed, but still - I was worth way more than minimum wage back then.
Raising the min wage just hurts young professionals that want a firm to take a chance on them so that they can complete their professional program.
How dare you think that because you are educated and have skills you have more worth than Bill who barely got his GED and flips burgers at McDonalds.

while I agree, sometimes the labor percentage becomes a serious issue for too many small businesses in the interior...
