68% FG for Rice.

48 points in the paint.

Great win Rice — eclipses the other two longest school record winning streaks (12) with our 13th straight win!

Eh, they lost at home by double digits today despite shooting like Golden State. ODU / MTSU / UAB concern me more...USM and LT might be comparable.

Great win on the road and shooting over 65% on the road is phenomenal. No team scares me in Conf USA. They can beat anybody in Conf USA assuming no unexpected injuries. They will be in thr top 25 at tournament time and Dr K should be prepared to double Coach Langley salary next year because everybody will be wanting her

I won't be able to make it to the next two home games. Will be out of the country. PM me if you want my ticket to either game.

Another great road win by the Lady Owls. I'd love another shot at UCLA or Texas A&M, now that we are at full strength and playing well. Maybe not North Carolina - seems like they were out of our league.

I hope a lot of our fans attend the CUSA Tournament in Frisco. Seems like it would be easy enough for those living in the Metroplex. Related to that, I called the Rice ticket office yesterday morning to inquire about buying CUSA Tournament tickets. I left a voice mail asking for someone to get back with me. No reply so far. Sigh.

I will be at the C-USA tourney...

With the speed at which these WBB games move and my office’s proximity to The Star (~3 miles), I might be able to pass the early round games off as an extended lunch break without breaking a sweat 03-wink

With all tiebreakers now in hand for Rice, the Magic number for clinching the #1 seed is FOUR (with five games remaining)

MTSU is the only team with one loss and they play at ODU later this afternoon. An ODU win would reduce our magic number by one more.

Another great win. I think that's our 10th road win of the season (if you include Coastal Carolina), which is amazing because only Incarnate Word was against a team with a poor record. Some of them didn't have great records at the time but have since gone on to dominate their conference seasons (like Prairie View and Little Rock).

We really do need to work on getting some minutes to our bench next week though. Erica can't keep playing 39 minutes a game like she did today, and some of our bench (Rainey, Swayze and Chrisman in particular) need more than 3 or 4 minutes of action. We're going to have to play 3 games in 3 days at the conference tournament to win it, so that's when we'll need some bench production.

In the middle of the game there were a few combinations on the floor that we hadn’t seen and my thought was that Tina wanted the players to play outside their usual roles. I suspect we will see more of that against Florida schools.

BTW it's not too early to be scoreboard watching now. ODU and MTSU have a big conference game today (ODU leads by 6 at the half). And in the mid major rankings, #10 Ohio beat #6 Central Michigan on the road today for a nice win for them. #5 Florida Gulf Coast needed a lay-up in the last half minute to escape with a 1-point win at Liberty.

ODU hangs on to beat MTSU by 5. Rice now up 2 games over the nearest teams.

Also, Charlotte upset UAB (who has been in a bit of a slide). And UNT upset WKU on the road (they must have been reeling I guess still from Thursday).

Rice 11-0
MTSU 9-2
Marshall & WKU 8-3
ODU 8-4
UAB 7-4

That makes our magic number THREE and with the WKU loss another MTSU loss will decrease our magic number the same as a Rice win. We could clinch as early as next week...

Lost in the Erica - Mulkey magic, Wiggins has finally found her offensive game the last two outings. She was a stud in high school and we have all been waiting the last 1 2/3 years for her to break out. Hopefully, she's regained confidence in her shot.

Rice 11-0
MTSU 9-2
Marshall & WKU 8-3
ODU 8-4
UAB 7-4

And, note, due to the scheduling quirk, we played four of the other five top teams in the conference on the road, and beat them all.
