Delaware visited Trask back on January 10th, and left with an 82-69 victory. Will the Blue Hens get the sweep?

RE: @ Delaware (Saturday, Feb 9 - 7 PM)
I'd say Carter is better than Cacok. Carter is the only Division I player averaging at least 16 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, a field goal percentage of at least .600, and a free throw percentage of at least .700. Duke's Zion Williamson is doing three of those, while averaging 9.4 rebounds and shooting free throws .657. In the last 26 complete seasons, 10 players have done all of those, and none were in the CAA. My CAA First Team has Wright-Foreman, Riller, Carter, Cacok, and Knight. Among forwards, I rank Cacok and Knight near equal, and them better than Brantley, Seibring, Pierce, and Demir. I considered Pusica, but I rank Cacok above Pusica. If I was making a First Team to play First Teams from other conferences, I would want more three-point shooters, but individually I think the third best forward is better than the third best guard.

Ithiel Horton made 9 threes (Hofstra's record is 8) and scored 31 against you.

But does Carter lead D 1 in any major statistical category? Asking for a friend....

Ok, NOW I se where the Carter>Cacok nonsense came from.

Simple question. If you are picking your team and you have to choose one or the other, who do you choose? Sorry, I take Cacok every time and it isn't even a question.

RE: @ Delaware (Saturday, Feb 9 - 7 PM)
EvanJ makes a good point so no need to not give his opinion. I feel that he has played at least equal with Cacok when I've seen him. He's good.

Hawks have to play inspired ball and give it their best on both ends. It's about trust and doing your job out there and giving it 100 percent. The guys have to play together and pull together right now on both ends. Somebody on the floor has to be responsible for telling guys to guard their man and to be where they need to be. And, they have to focus each time down and pull together. That's winning basketball.

On offense, they need to communicate and share the ball well. If they do that, the will have a better offensive performance. Keep the ball moving via the pass with good spacing! There will be plenty of chances when that happens. Sims needs to drive the ball at least 6 times to the hole. Who is going to stop him in the CAA even as a freshman player? That is a problem to deal with and even if he doesn't score, Cacok will clean it up. If Kai has an open 3 in rhythm, shoot it. If Jean has an open 3 in rhythm, shoot it. If it comes inside out, shoot the 3, especially guys like Gadsden, Fornes, Estime,Taylor or Sims. It starts and ends with good ball movement for this team. After a reversal, Cacok gets a money shot and if doubled, be smart and get to the rim for an easy pass or stick back.

I'm hopeful that they will be ready to roll. If you're not playing defense, go sit for a while and come back in focused. You have to be all in or out. And, to me, it doesn't matter who that player is. This is UNCW hoops, our flagship program, so it's time.

Thanks Hawking for the data. That gives EvanJ a pretty good case. I do feel that Devontae can play good post defense but to me it seems that he's too worried about getting a foul called on him. Hope that he can get some good stops tonight because he will generally score enough.

Cacoc's D numbers are skewed by the dumpster fire that plays in front of him

If you’re just going to base opinion off those numbers than okay. Think what you want but you can poll the entire league and I guarantee there’s not another big in the league as difficult to deal with or tougher to play against than Cacok. Knight probably similarly beats Cacok in those numbers and Cacok made him look silly.

You’re also leaving out some other numbers though. How about RPG? How about number of double doubles? How about national major statistics rankings?

Both teams are in some foul trouble. Cacok, Estime, Anderson and Horton with 2 fouls apiece.

Yes, I didn't include the stat for staying on the floor and trying to avoid silly fouls to give the team a chance.

It's too bad that we can't get any scoring punch from our guards and wings. Without that, it doesn't matter what your defense is doing. Hopefully they will figure things out.

Way too inconsistent on offense. Is Fornes sick or injured?
