What is your deal with Kennedy? It’s not like we’re doing any better with the appointed blazertalk HC
Maybe it's a Twitter or Facebook thing but I haven't seen anybody here doing a hard sell for AK. I think Andy would be an upgrade over Ehsan but I'm not sure we would get enough bang for our buck. If he required a Haase/Clark type salary ($1M+) then I'd say pass. I'd don't think the improvement would be worth that investment.
My support for Kennedy would also depend on who else might be interested. He's an obvious option but should just be one of several, not a forgone conclusion.

He wasn't let go because of attendance or record.
Haase had a couple decent attendance seasons IIRC

After a loss like that, it is best to see the game from both sides...we had our chances.
We were beaten by a better team....period. We can argue we need to get better...we all knew we needed a experience big man. Butler was close, but not the 16 and 8 guy we need.
Eshan wasn't out coached...he was out talented...that's where we need to improve.

The troubling part about the team is we have no depth. We currently play 7 guys(not count Lovan) and the only one of with size only gets about 5 minutes/game. So a 6 man rotation. At the end of games we are exhausted. Teams run us around, having us chase for 30 minutes knowing this. We have got to steal some minutes from somewhere even if we/bench players are exposed defensively. And we have got to recruit taller guards.
+1
Davis didn't have these problems
Davis did have these problems. We often pointed to his short bench as an issue in close losses.

Absolutely. This is spot on. Our starting five is pretty decent. But we can’t have five guys play 40 minutes a game. I think with some decent recruiting there is potential next year.

Pretty sure the administration taking two schollys away had something to do with that.

1-2-2 requires that you get a big inside, otherwise you better be hitting your threes. Gueye was playing his first game since his broken nose and had ditched the mask, so he was a little contact shy. Banging inside really isn't his game anyhow. Lewis tried hard, but every time he tried to go in three guys sagged on him and he either couldn't get a shot up, it was contested hard, or he had to throw it back out.
It's not a defense you normally see much of, but we may get a solid dose of it in the upcoming games.
It's worth noting that ODU plays really good defense overall as well.
