Latest Edition of Frazier's Corner
Oddly, no mention of interest in moving to FCS. Maybe MD will find it reading between the lines.
Spring Game April 20. Giddy-up.

RE: Latest Edition of Frazier's Corner
One of the highlights of the Cram the Convo event, and it's already getting a lot of buzz out there, is the Victor E. Huskie bobblehead giveaway, presented by Northwestern Medicine. (pictured) The first 1,000 fans for EACH game of the doubleheader will receive this one-of-a-kind keepsake. The ONLY way to get the bobblehead is to attend the game, so I'll see you at the Convo on February 16.
When I first started suggesting this, I was a lot younger, had hair, and was a lot thinner. Glad to see that someone in Athletics finally woke up and grew a few brain cells.
Now.....if only this were properly marketed, but that may be asking for too much.
They should also do a bobblehead of Coach Hammock, as a season ticket enticement.

They should make it the first 2,500 to increase attendance

Let me look at this with my pessimistic scope...
It clearly says "first 1,000 fans." If STF wanted to keep us in DIV-1 FBS, he would have extended the promotion to the total capacity of the Convocation Center of 10,000. It's clear he wants to thin the pack down. Next we will see the free visor giveaway at Huskies Stadium this year will be limited to no more than 800 fans....DESICABLE...also we should burn anything Carey touched to prevent more years of FAILURE

RE: Latest Edition of Frazier's Corner
Why would you make 10,000 bobbleheads when there is 0 chance 10,000 people show up? That’s just stupid.

Because there's 100% chance that STF is in cahoots with George Soros and Rod Carey to destroy NIU... One bobblehead at a time
Of which, I'm pretty sure the bobbleheads are actually Amazon Alexa powered... So they can learn how to destroy the hearts of Huskies Nation

Kudos to Dog Fan, bobble head promo was a long time coming. Maybe Paperback Grotto night is soon to follow? Could be just the excitement this team needs!

Is this sarcasm?
Absolutely. It's a play on the original poster's potential MD response to find what STF really means
I personally like what STF is doing and appreciate some of what Carey did for us.

Actually, it says "The first 1,000 fans for EACH game of the doubleheader will receive this one-of-a-kind keepsake." By my count that's 2,000 bobbleheads. That can only mean ... it's an even BIGGER conspiracy for Northern to drop down to FCS! Oh woe is us.

RE: Latest Edition of Frazier's Corner
How can it be one of a kind if there are 2,000 of them?
At least they aren't brought to us by Illini Tire.

They are one-of-a-kind ... 2,000 times. But at least STF set up a cool promotion.

I think all 2000 will be gone and some will be disappointed. I will probably go to the game just to get one.

If 2000 of these exist, that would be a rare item in 10 years. Im not sure what would make a greater and more valuable collectable right now though, a Victor E bobblehead, or a real live breathing NIU basketball fan.

Or better yet given the state of NIU fan support, Id give these to the last 1000 fans that remain at the end of the game. No hit and runs!

Brilliant idea. Glad to see Frazier is listening to Dog Fan. Now if only he listened to me and hired Bret Bielema.

RE: Latest Edition of Frazier's Corner
I don't think Frazier listened to me because I stopped communicating with Athletics a few years ago. I used to offer marketing and other suggestions but stopped after I realized I was talking to a wall and wasting my time.
Bobbleheads are extremely collectible, and fans love to display them. And, when people display them, that's advertising and publicity! Adults and kids love them. There is even a National Bobblehead Museum. These bobbleheads are not the cheap looking ones we used to buy at the ballpark many years ago. These are quite well made.
NIU should expand their bobblehead offerings. All they need is a sponsor to pay for them, as is the case with the Victor E. bobblehead. How about Fatty's, since they make a ton off of NIU fans? We have enough sponsors to hit up to pay for these. They should do one of Coaches Hammock, Montgomery, and Carlsen. Not sure if NCAA rules would allow them to do a player, but how would you have liked to have a Sutton Smith bobblehead? Or even one of Rod Carey that you could have ripped the head off of?
They can give these out at games and/or use them as a gift for season ticket purchases/renewals. This is not rocket science, and it is easily done. The Victor E. bobblehead is fantastic. Now, Athletics, please keep 'em coming!
