Good to see Kamara tweeting about the basketball team and making comment on his twitter account that "SouthernMissMBB game gon be lit Saturday?!!"

and then Southern Miss basketball's twitter telling him "we'd love to have you...send us a message and we'll make it work"

Good to see some excitement back in basketball but feels like we are setting ourselves up for a big ol' TTT moment....win some games, get people talking about it, get fans to show up, and then we end usually end up playing our worst game of the year.

True...but La Tech has been a horrible road team this year....in fact, La Tech has not one a single road conference game this year.

True...but La Tech has been a horrible road team this year....in fact, La Tech has not one a single road conference game this year.

I wouldn't say horrible road team all year...they won at Wichita St by 13, won at Louisiana Lafayette (11-9 record) by 21, and only lost by 1 at current CUSA leader ODU. But since CUSA play has started they have lost all 6 of their road games. Here's hoping we help them continue that recent trend of losing all road CUSA games though.

With losses by UAB and Marshall last night, Southern Miss now controls its own destiny to finish in the top pod of CUSA.

This almost guarantees a loss to La Tech Saturday.

I just hope nobody gets stabbed by a recruit, or raped by a coach, or tries to conduct an interview.

As long as the students perceive themselves to be safe, all will be well.

It may be better for the students for Dr. Bennet to initiate a "No Score" policy for home games. That way no one gets too sad and feelings hurt if we lose. Tough to study under those conditions. The students need to ne able to have fun at games! Not stressed out about the score!

Will he be bringing the 3rd place trophy with him?
