Speaking of MUS, does anyone know what Drew Richmond is going to do?

Missed on a couple that were known to be considering the Tigers. I'm keeping an eye out for former commit WR/DB Gyasi Mattison out of N'ville. He decommitted thinking MS State was gonna offer. I haven't seen anything on social media or 247 about him taking visits since then and he hasn't announced a signing time. Just waiting on Trevis Hopper. He's my guess for the silent signee from Dec.

I have missed it or do we know who the player is that signed early. But did not want to announce it until the late signing period.

Thanks. Kristian Williams would have been a hell of a get. Especially with us moving to a 4-3 next season.

I'm sure someone will ask Coach Norvell who it is during his recap press conference. My guess is Trevis Hopper soley due to his silence...and the process of elimination. LOL. Only surprise so far is Owens and he was committed to MTSU until the weekend.

RE: Signing Day Part 2
How is Hoppen a silent one? If I'm not mistaken he has been open about coming to Memphis and was on TV quoted saying he was trying to get other hometown players to stay home... What am I missing here?

Sorry silent signee. Someone signed in December, but wanted to wait until today to publicly announce. His ceremony is this afternoon.

TJ just had a bad year. I the kid is gonna end up being on an NFL roster one day, if he gets it together this year. he has the tools, and his freshman year was awesome.

Not many corners can cover 1 on 1 lined up 5 yards deep with no pressure on the qb. The ones that can are the highest paid in the NFL. Imma take wild guess and say TJ Carter will have his best season next year

Amazing to me as great as the last 4-5 years have been, but football is looking up. Great time to be a Tiger!

A lot of good stuff there. I realize we’re at a major disadvantage, but I hope local 4 and 5 star dudes see us in this way at some point. Either way, it’s always cool to see success breeding success.

RE: Signing Day Part 2
We have the 2nd ranked class in the AAC according to rivals over-all points. UCF is number 1 with 1275 points we are number number 2 with 1230. I am not sure how the points are calculated but we have more overall recruits (22 to 21) and we have more 3 star recruits (18 to 14) and our average star rating is higher (2.82 to 2.57). As a matter of fact we lead ACC in all of those categories.

Oddly enough Navy has 70 Recruits.

Memphis has a better rep in Nashville with higher rated guys than within the city limits. Before the B'ham Bowl, we were listening to local radio and they had on a N'ville recruiter...think he may have been with NPA or one of the recruiting services. Anyway, he was very complimentary of how the Tigers recruit Nashville and the future of the program. He kind of chuckled at the whole P6 thing, then went on to say if you want to play on tv instead of sit on a P5 bench, Memphis is a good place to be. I can't remember the exact quote, but it sounded like Memphis was becoming or being viewed as a good spot for playing time, development and exposure.
