Houston starting to get too much media love, it makes me nervous.

This UCONN team doesn't start playing until the second half. SMH. We are the reverse Temple.

Well it wasn't a great game. But it wasn't a choke on the road. I'll take it

+51 in our two meetings against ECU.
Finally got a road win.
Can't believe we're likely 5-6 after Saturday.

Also, if we could make it through a complete season without one of our starting guards getting a serious injury, I'd appreciate it.

I know its a conference game so the broadcasters tend to be a little more loving than normal but it just makes me feel like they're trying to jinx us. I just want this team to win conference and make it past the first weekend.

my goal/hope is elite 8.....
sweet 16 to me means you are had a good season, that adds to your brand but no good programs talk about their "sweet sixteen" season beyond a few years..
elite 8 is where this specific season will be remembered for ages...

So now we complain when ESPN commentators praise our teams? Remember the good old days of football season when they hated us?

That seems like kind of a strange cutoff. I've always pictured the tourney in weekend cutoffs. Sweet 16 is one. Final four is the next. Not that the elite 8 round isn't better than the sweet 16, but it feels weird to be disappointed with one and happy with the other.

ps i wouldnt be disappointed in either, i just think they carry different weight, and the weight difference is huge..but both are still huge
sweet sixteen is "program" success, you add it to your tally of sweet 16s ..but a "good program" isnt talking about there sweet 16 run 6/7 years down the line
imo elite 8 is when its stop being about the program in general but the specific team and that specific teams place in history

His career at UCONN is likely over. Even if it's just an MCL sprain, that's a 3+ week recovery.

If Memphis played @ UCONN this season, it would make for a great 2nd half matchup.
