Yet that awful recruiting had THE highest NFL draft ranking of all CUSA schools.

That alone will help down stream.

Consider changing your name to Debbie Downer. Can't remember the last post you made that had even a remotely positive slant.

Keep defending the poor recruiting and our poor on the field performances. I guess you will be happy with a 2 win season.

You have done nothing for 15 years except ***** about recruiting. Always. Always, over at the CAABOzone you bitched about Blaine's recruiting from day 1. Yet he turned that program around with what 5 NCAA appearances. Despite all the '$hitty' recruiting that you bitched about. Then years back you berated BT's staff on one Greek kid we didn't get that went to GW and ended up being a frickin nobody. Or the other Greek kid we didn't get who went to Clemson, ended up being a nobody. Neither of which could hold the jocks of the kids we did have up front, Loughton, Dahi, Lee, Hassell.....

You've don't nothing but ***** about football recruiting. When it has never been about the recruiting as much as piss poor coaching. We've had a series of defensive coaches who couldn't do crap with schemes or teaching.

And you kept complaining on multiple posts about we lost all those players last year and we're not getting commitments. Completely losing track that the 2019 scholarships were all signed in February. Dohhhhh.

And please find ONE single post where I've defended recruiting. Never have. All I said was you've done nothing but ***** about it.

His mom told him to find something he was good at. This was all he came up with.

Way over exaggeration....15 years my ass. We have had 1 top 7 recruiting class since being in FBS. That class got us to a bowl game.
That 2019 class was ranked 12th and 13th. Big deal I lost track. Now look at this class. I guess all you "knowelgedable folks that saidd in BW we trust when it came to recruiting have been proven wrong and not very knowledgeable. You guys are just upset because you were wrong. My post are simply realistic vs all yours are over blown and unrealistic. I guess you are also happy with the on field performance the last 4 years. Finally...at least I am good at one thing !

Yea there was significant debate on these boards about why someone would even suggest that. Congrats to the ones that actually knew what they were talking about. Lol.

Based on the recruitment pattern of QB's in the last couple years, there was no way he was playing QB again unless he drastically improved. If he works hard I think he could be a phenomenal WR

He still has 3 years left to play, right?

Correct, he redshirted last season under the new 4-game rule.

When Wilder was talking about QBs at media day he made no mention of hayden wolff, anyone have info if he is hurt/ left the team? He named all the qbs but wolff.

Thank you. Wasn't really sure, just seemed like a reasonable assumption

He will redshirt. Guessing there just isn't much to say at this point. He wasn't a full participant of spring ball b/c of the shoulder surgery he had this off-season.

Did he mean this in addition to QB, or is SW done with being a QB altogether? I thought SW had pretty good footwork and potential at QB. I guess if the new guys are already better, that makes sense. But if not, I would think SW would want to fight it out for the position. Also, this means that BW started a guy two years ago as a true freshman who isnt even good enough to be our backup QB now. Not sure if thats good or bad, but certainly interesting.

He will be doing both. But reps behind center will be at a premium with how crowded that room has become.

If he wants to play this season, WR is likely his best avenue. And I hope he does great things there. He's been a good teammate throughout his entire time here.

I think it speaks volumes of whats going on within our program. Glad we got the publicity when we did for the youngest starting QB in the nation......now only to switch positions because hes been lapped so to say. WOW. Another dud at the QB position.

How many have we had now?

RE: 2019 football offseason
It might be similar to a David Washington situation. DW was an excellent QB, but he was stuck behind Heinicke in the rotation, and in order to get playing time converted to WR. Then he was behind the much-hyped Shuler Bentley, and when that didn't pan out he converted back. SW is plenty talented, but if wants playing time and isn't the 1st string QB I wouldn't be surprised to see him catching passes for a few games this year.
