RE: Players I’m excited to see......
We need speed. As long as the fastest guy can catch somewhat, he will see time. Wesley was the only WR that could separate.

I think there is some real speed there (at WR) we just have not got a chance to see it yet, but we will. Also, think and hope we get rid of the 'fair catch' everything in sight rule and let some of these players play

Maybe Hammock willl allow Koko to do more than fair catch kicks and punts. We use to score touchdowns on special teams. I can see Koko breaking out due to this coaching change. He was a speed guy in high school but Carey was to much of a pansy so we never saw his skill set.

I can't believe we wasted a red shirt for him to fair catch balls.

I was looking forward to seeing what Koko could do. But I really wasn’t terribly impressed with the little I saw. I know he was very limited, but I didn’t think he played fast on the few chances he got. Fotis did run track so he has measured speed. Checking his times he is way slower than say Jordan nettles. A full second slower in the 100 and almost a half second in the 55. That’s quite a bit in track terms. Maybe his football speed is better, but from what I saw he just might not be all that fast at this level.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was a little tentative. A mistake might have put him in the doghouse for the rest of his career.

No.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in Dekalb for his last year.

I believe his 40 time was the best in Illinois (Koko) in the Nike Opening for his class. I always go to the site to find our incoming recruits.
But who knows track speed and football speed do not always equate.

also alot of our guys from 2019 class ran in ohio

There’s still a good chance Koko could surprise with his speed. I too saw nothing in his limited action to get excited about but hopefully it was from inexperienced and being tentative. He’s the one guy in practice that showed real explosion on kickoffs. He stood out for sure.

A laser timed 4.5 is legit speed. Let’s hope he can show it this year.

I honestly can't say I saw Koko enough to draw any conclusions. Hopefully we can utilize him more this year.

He barely got any reps and was forced to fair catch everything. Nothing to judge him on yet other than his potential.
