I guess someone was going to value wins over morals and give him a second chance. I thought better of Southern Miss, though.

Allegations of 53 rapes and five gang rapes in three years? It takes a lot of time and brillo to scrub that away.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the conversation between the USM coach and AD when this was brought up. It must have gone something like:

"Coach Hopson it's come to my attention that Hattiesburg isnt quit enough of a sh!thole, what do you suggest we do about this?"

"I dunno boss, maybe we could do something to enable a bunch of gang rapes, that would really create the kind of festering cesspool that Hattiesburg is known for!"

"You are genius Coach! Remind me to give you a raise and an extension!"

I keep hearing them talk about how he is going to be exonerated of the charges but this all happened while you are the head coach you don't deserve to be a coach anymore.

If allegations were sufficient evidence, the SOTU address would be given by President Pence tonight.

Southern Miss released a statement that they met with Briles and afterwards informed him that he was not a candidate.

So basically the HC and the wife of the HC threw the intern AD under the bus because the USM president wouldnt let them hire someone who both helped cover up multiple gang rapes and who is currently under investigation by the NCAA.

After Coach Hopson is let go at the end of the year, who do you think Southern Miss hires as their next head coach?

Whenever there is a clash between the AD & president or the head football coach and president the president normally wins.
