RE: Do you favor a border wall?
Bump.
83% voting in favor of building a wall after 4 days of voting, up 2% from yesterday.
If you have not already voted then please vote. This is your chance to show what people really think instead of having some fake polling data pushed upon us by the media. Voting is open for 10 more days.

I'm not in favor of a border wall. Because I think it will just end up as another government boondoggle. But I do think that we need to have a serious discussion with Mexico about its citizens & immigration and the fact that we consider crossing the border to be an act of aggression against the United States.

I guess that in a nutshell describes the differences between the two sides. One side wants to try to take care of it with words supplemented with some slight material offerings. The other side wants to take firm measures to take care of the situation themselves without having to rely on another country to do the job.
The Border Patrol experts have publicly stated that a wall is needed in some areas where it does not exist. Apparently there are a lot of politicians on Capitol Hill along with several million in the general public that know more than those Border Patrol people know about securing the border. They must have slept at a Holliday Inn Express or something.

I'm not in favor of a wall alone. We need a wall in some places, other measures are more useful in other places. But we need more than a wall. And my worry is that Trump is so wedded to the wall that he will give up on some of those other things.

I don't buy that at all. Trump is all in on border security, has visited the border several times, and listens to those that are doing the job about what is needed. He is harping on the wall structure because that is what the Democrats are blocking, even though the Border Patrol has stated areas that it would be a big help to have. He has stated many times that it was not the only thing needed to support our border security, but it is the one the Dems don't want come hell or high water (or illegals). Trump has also mentioned more agents, electronic sensors/cameras, etc.

Trump will be in El Paso and Robert O'Rourke will host a women's march on the same day. What's that got to do with a wall? He just wants his name out there for the upcoming Demoncraptic primaries.

Maybe O'Rourke can get some illegal immigrants to join in his march.
