Coaching Change
Owens is returning, Williams heading to Maryland.

UAB: Source tells FootballScoop Richard Owens is expected to join Bill Clark’s staff coaching offensive line. Owens, who spent the 2018 season at his alma mater (Louisville), had joined Tyson Helton’s staff at Western Kentucky as tight ends coach. This will be Owens’ second stint at UAB where he also coached from 2012-14. He also coached offensive line at South Alabama.

Maryland: Source tells FootballScoop UAB linebackers coach Brian Williams is expected to join Mike Locksley’s staff.

Would love for Pat Bastien to come back. Very good young recruiter and coach.
Losing Brian Williams is big, though. He is a heckuva recruiter. His connections in Miami, and Florida in general, were critical. Hope they can find a way to keep that from drying up.
