OT: For the resident Czechs...
FC Dallas signed a new striker (nickname is Cobra, he has a giant Cobra tattoo on his back) from The Czech Republic a few weeks ago. He has gone West...

Cobra goes west

Quibble, but he's from the Czech Republic. The Slovakia part split in 1993. (Although when he was born, it was together)

Antarius may be from New England, although when he was born it was still part of England.

There's an epic poem about this event:

Czechoslovakia's not
A republic these days—you forgot?
It's Slovakia and
Czech Republic; they planned
A Velvet Divorce (none were shot).

When a tramp steamer could call on Port Arthur, Batavia, Lorenco Marques ... those were the days!

Really is an incredible read about the dissolution. An absolute unicorn of circumstance to see a major split without any violence.

If only the dissolution of the Southwest Conference could've been so lucky...
