John Dunn, UConn OC is leaving to join the Jets. Last month Edsall gave him a $150,000 raise ($300,000 to $450,000) out of his own pocket. This left Edsall the lowest paid coach in the AAC, about $1 million per year. Apparently he wanted to coach a couple of more years, retire, and have Dunn promoted to head coach.

My question is, if UConn is spending $80 million a year on athletics, where is the money going? I'm not bashing UConn, I'm just baffled. I hope they get this thing turned around.
