After that win. Good for them. Tough break for the MAC.
BG looses at MU and we win. They beat BU and need to play lights out
to do the same.

I don’t necessarily think BG played lights out. They played a good game overall, but were atrocious in the first half, and had they made their free throws down the stretch the score wouldn’t have been as close as it was. BG was also very uncharacteristically awful on the boards. So, far from lights out. Their play was similar to how they played in roughly 6 or 7 of the previous 11 games.

Also, playing the whole, “they lost to this team, and we beat them,” is silly. It’s about matchups in college basketball, and Miami matches up well against BG’s strengths. Plus, I could play the same game: BG beat Kent St. by 20 at their barn, and UT lost. But that says nothing, except that Kent doesn’t match up well against BG and does so better against UT.

Looking forward to a good game against UT, though! It’s been awhile since both BG and UT have been good in the same year.
Bugs - my bad my post should have read” and we(UT) need to play lights out to do the same. Didn’t see but the last few moments of your Buffalo win. Didn’t mean to get you fired up about my post. Hope you guys can pull another sellout. At least now all those seats that we’re never used before are now clean for our fans.

I actually went to the BGSU vs. Buffalo game. Great crowd which cannot be said for most games there. The Stroh Center/Arena is a very nice arena. Of course I'm biased and believe Savage Arena is much better simply because it is. I never went to Anderson Arena, but, been to "The Doyt" many times when it was a grass/dirt field. I too don't think BGSU is all that. One other point; the parking at BGSU is awful. They do not know what they are doing. It took me 20 minutes just to get out of the east lot. There is ZERO Police Traffic Control except for one Officer manually running the traffic light on the main street that leads to I-75.
GO ROCKETS !!!

At some point I think it's okay to presume they actually do know what they're doing. They've been doing it so long and the problems are obvious, yet they continue to do it. So, either crazy or and an obvious need for it to be that stupid way. I don't get it. It does nothing to route traffic towards local business. There's nothing within cold winter walking distance that would entice someone to wait out the traffic. Or warm weather for that matter. So I suppose they have a pure genious plan to keep the school from ever amounting to potentials and the game traffic pattern is a cog in that machine.

good scene there for the buffalo game. great mac game. bg made shots all night. frye was lights out. turner was patient and then drained the open 3s. they got bounces and calls. game shifted when one of their bench guys came in and made 7 straight highlight reel plays and pumped up the crowd. then, the sellout just went nuts the rest of the night and UB was playing a giant. buffalo is still very good and still in the tourney either way. as long as they go 14-4 or better in the MAC they will get a bid as auto or at-large. that dismantling of arizona last tourney cannot be denied and their fall win at syracuse now looks even better.

rockets schedule is tough, but it reflects the league. akron is playing well and can match up with us. that should be a tight game. bg may sell out again for us and they are red hot. if when survive those 2 there will be a big crowd for the buffalo home game. will be fun.
