Buffalo @ Bowling Green
Big one tonight on CBS Sports Network. Bowling Green had their 10 game winning streak snapped against Miami last Saturday. Buffalo bounced back from the loss at NIU with two conference wins over KSU and Ball State.

Should be a good one.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

Buffalo is overrated.

The MAC is good. BGSU takes UB down. There goes the ranking.

Gflash68. now it will be 20 straight years with only one MAC team getting an NCAA bid.

Not sure Buffalo is squeezed out yet. But the margin for error shrinks with each conference loss. A home loss would be devastating. Assuming they don't win the MAC Tournament I think they will have to:

*finish the regular season at 25-5 at worst (I do not count Lemoyne as a win, just like KSU shouldn't count Oberlin)

*reach the MAC Championship game

That would be 27-5 with a top 25 ranking for most of the season (although I think they will get bumped Monday). Its not like those weak Akron teams that finished with similar records and got kept out...

I was at the game lat night - here's my take. Like the KSU-UB game a great atmosphere. Complete sellout - they kept announcing that a Stroh arena record 2200 students were there - most of the BG football team was up in one corners of the stands. They had several T-shirt and pizza giveaways. High paced, high quality play by both teams. The crowd definitely impacted the outcome - Buffalo made a series of careless and forced turnovers with about 4 minutes left and in the last minute or so missed two front ends of a one and one. BG was in the double bonus for the last 9 minutes but missed a bunch of foul shots to keep the game close. BG also had Perkins on the bench with fouls at some critical stretches. Both teams will be tough outs in the MAC tournament and it appears Wiggins is BGs only senior.

Lillard and Uju are seniors too. Wiggins is the only starter. Turner will be a force for the next two years.
