Democratic landslide in 2020?
https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/...-landslide

Hill and Politico are the right and left side of the same thing-insiders in DC. Both will sometimes print the other viewpoint. Hill is printing this from a Democrat.

I normally expect semi-serious pieces but with a spin. But this Democrat really seems to believe what he says. If so, Republicans may win really easy in 2020. This guy has full scale TDS.

Budowsky was an aide to former Sen. Lloyd Bentsen (D-Texas) and former Rep. Bill Alexander (D-Ark.), who was chief deputy majority whip of the House of Representatives. He holds an LLM in international financial law from the London School of Economics.

"...There is a real possibility that Democrats win a history-making landslide in 2020 and inaugurate a post-Trump era of Democratic leadership and American optimism comparable to President Kennedy’s New Frontier in 1960.

<he then goes on to say the Dems should run on health care and a wealth tax

because they are popular in the polls-not because they make sense>

...Democrats could run in red states, purple states and blue states as the patriot party<LOL!>, the national security party<LOL!> and the democracy-first party<still laughing>, while Trump holds secret meetings with the Russian dictator who attacks America, without even his national security advisers being allowed to attend or learn what happened in those meetings!!..."

This article kind of captures it:

"...Democrats have lived in the anti-Trump #Resistance bubble for so long that they believe they’ve got golden electoral odds in 2020. This has led a crowd of them, at various national, state and even local levels, to think they can successfully take on the president.

They also believe that if President Trump falls to impeachment or electoral defeat, the pendulum will swing far in the opposite direction, toward a fierce leftist progressivism. Each one of them wants desperately to ride that expected backlash and lead the new statist revolt...."

I remember being certain at this stage of the first Obama term we would have a Republican landslide.

And that's why Romney lost. He thought he could walk out, say, "I'm not Obama," and win. All the while denigrating 47% of the country in a very Hillary way.

I know not all politicians are morons. But man, do they live in an alternative reality.
