Huskie Bloodlines
I’m not sure if there has been a post like this before. Sure I’ve seen something on the Peat kids, but anyway.

It seems that former NIU players have had some very impressive kids in the sport as well.

Obviously, I mentioned the Peat family above but it seems 5 star USC enrollee now Texas enrollee, Bru McCoy is from NIU lineage. Both his parents were Huskie athletes, dad played football and mom was 2x Volleyball team MVP.

I’m sure there are plenty more, as Ryan Roberts who’s dad played at NIU. I know Geneva football coach Rob Wicinski has a daughter who was all American at NIU before going to MSU.

Strong bloodlines. Any players that you guys know I’m missing?

His brother is a soph on MC varsity. Doesn't play, His dad always said he was the best athlete. Buddy of mine used to say when his brother played widgets that he was awesome, best kid on the field.

Wicinski's wife is NIU volleyball standout Gina Graf. Other Huskie power couples include: Men's basketball standout Mike Hartke and women's volleyball star Amy Foulke. NIU women's volleyball great Nikki Kozak and soccer player Jeff McCall.

Just the brothers went to NIU. Neither parent did. Though the family does have a very athletic pedigree. All four Santa kids played D-I sports.
