Hurley choosing to rest him on the easy games is a smart move.
By he way I struggled last night. Syracuse was playing BC's fighting Stooks and I couldn't figure out a way for both teams to lose. I was disappointed. But I guess the Syracuse win is good for the Huskies.

I'm looking forward to the future match ups between Gardner (raw power) and Yetna (smooth athlete). As they develop it will be interesting to see what they add to their skill sets and abilities and how that affects the match up over time.

I think the big difference in that game was the disparity at the FT line. Temple made 14 more FT's than UH did. Temple made 8 more FT's than UH even attempted. (Temple 25-28, UH 11-17). That was a HUGE difference in the game.
Will be interesting to see how the game is called. Will UH get a crew that called us for 9 PF (like against ECU) or 33 PF (like against USF)?

Is Cincinnati really that great of a rebounding team or is Temple just inconsistent. Whatever the case, they need to bring a lot of fight today because the want level for the Cougars should be very high. I've had this one circled for a while now. Must win for the Coogs. Defend home court!
i'd lean more towards temple being a below average rebounding team. i think uc is a good not great rebounding team

Temple is not a bad rebounding team, we are a terrible rebounding team. I think UC is a tougher stronger group and fought hard for boards and exposed our weakness. Houston did not show strong rebounding in Philly will they be different tonight? I expect so. As for fouls, I’m hoping for a let them play approach. I don’t think a crew calling touch fouls all night helps anyone.

And then follow it up with a loss to Tulane next week. That'd sound about right.
temple houston should be a tournament like atmosphere
houston wants to destroy temple to show the 1st loss was a fluke...
temple desperately needs this game, if they loss, their schedule the rest of the way likely isnt strong enough to get back on the bubble without flat winning out. it would take a miracle to get them in with a loss
it should be a game of 2 teams putting everything they have into it

This game will come down to how tough temple can be. Quinton Rose is so skilled and long and yet he lacks toughness.
Best bet for temple is to shoot lights out.
They will get out toughed, out rebounded and out defended already, on top of Houston wanting to get revenge and Is on their home floor.
They can only equalize all that if they have a phenomenal shooting night.
They’ve been competitive in every road game this year. But they have to shoot lights out to win

Sorry .. not a personal jab but it's always a best bet for a team to win by shooting the lights out. I'm surprised more teams don't just do that more ....
What?
Uc went to temple and made 3 3’s and shot poorly and won .
They won with defense, rebounding and effort.
I was pointing out that those are are clearly not strengths of Temple and their best bet is to win by hitting 3’s.
Just say... you wanted to take a jab at me. But you’re the one too dense to pick up on what I was saying.
Maybe Greg Marshall thinks his teams can only win if they shoot lights out. But I know uc has won many games, road and home, with out ever shooting close to 40%.
Terrible rebuttal. Come harder next time.
Can’t wait for Cronin to breast fed Marshall for the 3rd time in 4 tries.

We've played USF, SMU, Temple, and Tulsa on the road. Still have ECU, Tulane, UConn, UCF, and UC left on the slate. We've pretty alternated between home and away every game in conference.

I knew you must have, but I can only remember one time seeing you on the tube with road uniforms on.

Suppose it doesn't help that we aren't playing @Memphis this year (at least not until the AACT).
