RE: Should a Judge who gets a DWI step down?
In this specific case? No. Disciplined and/or suspended would do.
If she were a magistrate who heard DUI cases then absolutely. The same with law enforcement. I don;t know if they are still doing it but at one time it wasn't uncommon for the SC Highway Patrol to fire you if you were just arrested for DUI. Supposedly the Colonel himself fired several face to face while they were still in their holding cells.

RE: Should these Judges Lose their jobs?
Need more information to say if these judges should “lose their jobs” or not.
But the one detail that really stands out to me is that the judge was released from custody after “less than two hours”. Which raises two possibilities: either Bernalillo County Sheriffs run the most efficient bond-processing unit in the world, or else there was some serious influence/favoritism going on to get her out ASAP.

Depends on what their bond hearing schedule is.
One of my friends was doing hazmat standby at a mobile meth lab their sheriff's dept busted once. The FD hazmat team had to stand-by while a remediation contractor removed all of the hazardous waste in case something went wrong. He said he was standing there talking with the SO supervisor as things were wrapping up when this dude asked "Is it OK for me to take the car?" He thought it was a tow truck driver and was amazed when the dude got in the car and drove off. It was the guy who got arrested, He'd been taken to jail, processed, had a bind hearing, bonded out and took a cab back to the scene to get his car. My friend was amazed but the deputy said "He just had the luck of timing. Had he been processed 30 minutes later he would have sat in jail for over 24 hours.

Id rather remove judges that rule based on what they WISHED the law said rather than what the law ACTUALLY says.

+3. If it was a mistake, give her a mulligan. If it is a pattern, can her. She could have killed someone, but fact remains that she didn't kill anyone. I could have killed someone when I was driving, dropped my pizza on the floor, and took my eyes off the road to pick it up.

RE: Should these Judges Lose their jobs?
No, she shouldn't lose her job.
People aren't robots. One lapse in judgement doesn't automatically mean she can't be a fair and just judge correctly ruling on cases.
I especially LOVE that first sanctimonious d-bag (wearing the sunglasses) in the first video talking about being "entrusted to make the best decision for our children" and questioning if this is REALLY the first time.
Wow, must be nice to be so perfect pal. Must be nice to have NEVER made a bad decision or had a lapse of judgement your entire life. On top of that, believing that she should lose her job partly because in YOUR OPINION it might have happened before. Good thing there's this thing called proof.
If I were the judge, I's sue this guy for slander.

RE: Should these Judges Lose their jobs?
What she should do is pretend she's a hollywood celebrity.....
1) Deny, then
2) Admit she has a "problem", then
3) Seek forgiveness, then
4) Enter rehab, then
5) Come out of rehab claiming your life is changed, then
6) Insist that no one question her about it because that's "in the past", then
7) Go on with life like it never happened

Youre not kidding about timing.
I have a friend who is a divorce attorney and he told me a story about how one of his clients had to sit in jail for 3 days. His wife filed a complaint against him knowing he would be arrested on a Friday and there was a judge's convention the following Monday. Doing what she did caused him to spend a 3 day weekend in jail.
