more crisis coming to our border soon..Mexico and gas distribution...the next VZ
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/19/world...eline.html
Quote:TLAHUELILPAN, Mexico — Mexico’s president vowed on Saturday to redouble his fight against an epidemic of fuel theft after thieves punctured a pipeline north of Mexico City, causing an explosion that killed at least 79 people and injured 81 others.
The blast underscored the deadly perils of the fuel-theft racket, which has cost the government billions of dollars a year and has been the target of a weekslong crackdown by the administration of Mexico’s new president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The government’s strategy has included diverting fuel from the pipelines most heavily targeted by criminal gangs, and transporting it by truck. But the logistical changes have slowed deliveries across the country, causing shortages and long lines at service stations.
how they're currently combating this issue via trucking and lack of support to do such driving up prices 5x....
which leads to the following....
https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/fuel-sh...michoacan/
Quote:Gasoline shortages continue throughout Michoacán where 70% of the state’s gas stations remain closed, Economic Development Secretary Jesús Melgoza Velázquez told reporters yesterday.
He explained that although tanker trucks are delivering fuel more frequently and gas stations have been able to provide more, panic buying has continued to exhaust supplies.
Line-ups at gas stations remain formidable in most parts of the state, but cities in the east, such as Ciudad Hidalgo, Tuxpan and Zitácuaro have not reported fuel shortages in recent days.
both articles mention this being a short term problem.....

I know you're being sarcastic as that's what Leftists do but we're trying to build a wall to keep them outside and you want Trump to invade? We don't need their problem we have ours already and it ain't Mexicans or OTM's it's Liberals. Let's send all of you that are so enamored of Socialism to sample a bit of it and let's see how you like it. You all biatch and cry about not getting free college those people don't even get free high school. Idiots.

imagine if ciggy butts cost 8 USD/pack....
it's a paysite, so don't click....this is good enough for the context of conversation...

Quote:Buying stolen gasoline in the central Mexican state of Puebla is easy. Pull off the main highway into a busy parking lot, and the black marketeers are waiting in pickup trucks loaded with jerrycans. They’ll siphon the fuel into your tank—boasting as they do that unlike a lot of the country’s regular gas stations, they don’t cheat customers.
While this illegal curbside commerce has been going on for decades, it has exploded in the past few years and now costs Pemex, Mexico’s state oil company, more than 20 billion pesos ($1.1 billion) a year. The huachicoleros, as the fuel thieves are known in Mexico, dig up pipelines and hijack tanker trucks. These techniques have made Puebla, with its heavy vehicular traffic and extensive pipeline system, a target for organized crime looking to diversify their profit streams. The country’s drug cartels have muscled their way in, with predictable mayhem.

That is almost amazing to me, but then again Drug Cartels run the country in large measure.

There is very little coverage of serious news about countries in the Americas. Petrobras/Car Wash/Oderbrecht scandals, ex Presidents of Brazil and other law makers in jail. The one ex President Lula registered to run for President from jail, lol. I thought VZ should have garnered more attention years ago.

We dont want Mexico. We just want a wall to stop the chit hole infection from spreading across the border. My next door neighbor worked for an oil transmission company that would send him down to Mexico and other Central and S American countries. He had to take classes to learn how to not get kidnapped or shot. Trump was right....some places are just crap holes.

If you want Mexico to build the dang wall then we're gonna have to go down there and make them! You aren't serious about building a wall and making Mexico pay for it if you aren't serious about sending troops to Mexico City.
