USF getting a make up game?
Don't judge, but I was listening to the USF women's game and at half time the announcer stated that USF men may add a game to make up for the cancelled Charlotte game. It was implied that this was in hopes of improving an NIT type resume. Anyone heard who it might be?
A solid tier two type game and win would help the entire conference as well as USF.

I haven't heard anything about it. Given how Charlotte's season is going, I suspect they have no interest in playing it (even though it was a home game for them). Not sure there's a tier 2 team that has an opening on their schedule at this point.

Most teams have just one bye week (really just a Wed/Thur or a Sat/Sun) if that left on their schedule.
Maybe usf could find a team with the exact same bye day(s)...but I can see how some teams will want to use that open date as rest but if usf can end up with a game, no doubt it can only help their post-season efforts.

I may not have been clear but I felt it was implied they were in talks with someone(s). As I said earlier it was stated they wanted the game to help them for post season play. It wasn't guaranteed more like they were trying to work it out. I would assume it would be someone relatively close to ease travel concerns on the bye week.
Just curious if anymore had come out.

USF needs to reduce the SunDome to about 500 seats. Just sayin'.
On a supply and demand model, that's about your sweet spot, right there.

Kind of an unprovoked attendance attack, isn't it? I mean, WTF does that have to do with us getting a makeup for a road game cancelled by snow?
Also, I've been at almost every home game. I know you're going for exaggeration, but we've had >1,000 butts in the seats for every game. Not exactly overwhelming numbers, but with as horrible as our hoops have been for the last half decade, it's going to take some time for people to come back.
But it does speak to the whole "you have to have an on campus stadium so the students will come" bullsh1t that people love to spew. We have more students who live on campus than you could fit in the Yuengling Center, and they can attend the games for free. Less than 2% show up. Let's not pretend that putting a football stadium on campus (and spending nine figures on it) will be the panacea for our student apathy.

To be fair 6 is a lot less than 15ish and being on a weekend makes a difference as well. Of course so does winning. The issue is the 2% who show up for a winning program in a far away stadium. Technically the Liberty Bowl isn't on campus but its essentially right next to it. That connection to the campus and current students builds alumni relationships and creates loyalty for the bad times.
But your point is true that an ocs will not help a losing team much, but it won't hurt them either. Arguably an off campus stadium will be a negative in down times for multiple reasons, the same ones that hold true for it limiting the program in good years.

Not sure whether this will help, but at least we now know Charlotte won't be rescheduling the game...

Might be this was necessary to let them play the make up?
USF does have an opening coming up when I looked. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

Well that won't help at all. Would have been better to keep Charlotte and just beat their brains out.
