This is where you find out how much a guys investment in time(Brannen) really matters. He's done about all he can do with Traynor. I applaud his dogged pursuit of him. Have faith! It's interesting as Brannen was after him at Nku long before the big boys got involved. He spotted a diamond early on if there's any saving grace for that.

Traynor is officially down to UC and UL, no more UK or Xavier in the mix, but 3 CB's have rolled in for UL today so that's not great. Need to get Eason into the fold!

it’s been pretty clear from the beginning that traynor will wind up at LOU imo. Hope I’m wrong.

Yeah, I was just going to post about this. It was in the Iowa paper yesterday. He's 6-10, grew up in London and currently in Massachusetts. Already visited Rhode Island earlier and Iowa last weekend. No other visits planned but also has Rutgers and Virginia Tech in his final 5 and he wants to sign in November.

Really gotta lock down some talented bigs ready to contribute when they show up....next year so far its what, only Vogt and Diarra down low? Yeesh.

At this point I'd be very surprised if we get Traynor or Eason. Both have had plenty of time to commit and if they haven't committed yet it's because we are their backup plan and they are waiting for something better. Traynor seems to have gotten that with the Louisville offer - unless Brannen pulls a huge coup.

Also rumor from another forum is we are now going hard for Nigel John (C Texas). Pursuing guys like him (and Ogundele) is a strong indication that our top choices (Traynor, Eason) don't seem likely to come here.

Better nab a couple soon or next year we will be renting a couple grad transfers or Jucos down low.

So basically what we've been doing for the last decade or so with the exception of Yancy.

DeBerry, Ellis, Mbodji, Thomas, Nyarsuk, and Washington were all either Transfers or JUCO guys. That's the center position for the last 8 years (minus last year with Brooks who was a HS commit).

My suspicion is Brannen’s more offensive skill focused system will not be as successful with reclamation Juco projects. My guess is grad transfers are more our thing going forward if need be.

As a football analogy it’s probably easier to teach a kid who is raw off the street but who is a physical specimen how to play DE (see de ball get de ball) than it is to teach them to run routes to be a pass catching TE.

Oh I agree, I was just giving perspective. Honestly, I don't see more than 2 "Bigs" on a UC roster in any specific year under Brannen. He'll have a ton of hybrid guys (6'5"-6'7" wings) and will play 4-out most of the time I'm thinking.

Evan Daniels is 52/52. Just put a Crystal Ball on JJ for UL. Daniels doesnt put a crystal ball unless he knows for sure. JJ is going to UL. most likely already verbally committed

It's interesting as Lvl had 4 f/c in their class last year, and has 2 wing guys including Scrubb in this years class. He's clearly heading into a roster with a lot of competition and maybe sanctions if he goes to Lvl. However, often that seems to go out the window if folks are in your ear.
