Even though the snow has not begun most schools including old emu are off today. I imagine a many of teachers and future teachers will be at the pub, aubrees, and side tracks meeting up with old colleagues.

Our basketball team reminds me of a pair of 8s in black jack. You have to split them and then you win 1/3 to 1/2 the time. not exactly satisfying, but beats a 9 and a 7 or a 15 in black jack i reckon.

Basketball attendance
appears to be down conference wide, regionally, and id hypothesize nation wide. Saw an article online about it, wonder how much our universitys attendance has dropped in that time period to I know i saw on mlie that it was 10% in 10 years. Think our marketing department does a great job trying to engage younger alumni then they did in the early 2000s. obviously the convos location does not help either.

Football
Don't count out grissom, i got a hunch about this kid. Was really good in three years of HS ball at 2 different schools.

Softball
we do not have a team this year right? Do we need to get one next year? We also need a new volleyball coach as well be interesting to see what wEathErbEE does in the hire.

Compared to 4 years ago, attendance seems to be up to my eyes. I was at the ill-fated CIT/CBI home game against NSU and that game seemed to epitomize the fan apathy of that season. This season, several home games have had close to 2k. It is too bad this team has under-performed, this season could have seen the Convo rocking.

The new softball staff (not sure if the coaches are returning) need to do a better job of growing the roster through walk-ons.

The volleyball job should be attractive wonder if there will transfers out
