Given arena capacity and quality of product, Tulane and UCF are the biggest disappointments.

WSU and Cincy announced attendance is limited by their capacity. Otherwise, their figures would be higher than shown.

If the Tigers can somehow win on the road this week, a sold out Cincy game on 2/7/19 is possible.

It is Florida. We don't do Basket ball.

UCF should get rid of basketball and focus on football.

Some UCF fans here advised UCONN to do the opposite.

Well...yearly results on/off the court basically show UCF has given up on basketball...as they were never really IN on basketball (focused much more so on football) and that has certainly paid off for them making the right decision.

Sure...would be fun to be great in both...just not easy to do without more $$$.

Compared to the 2018 season for all schools; Memphis, Cincy, and WSU rank 10th, 35th, and 38th, respectively.

Can't speak for other schools, but I actually think you'll see UC's attendance go up a little down the stretch. Our attendance usually is much stronger come February and March after football is over and the weather starts to get a little better. We should finish a little closer to 11,000 overall.

I'm not so sure more money would help our bball issues. Florida just isn't a basketball state.

Yes we could use that money for chartered flights and perhaps recruit better but we are way further behind football in regards to building a sustained winner. We still got training wheels.

Disagree. I love the intimacy of the FC. Its small but loud and state of the art. Not a bad seat in the house. Besides if you were looking at our actual butts in seats avg itd be about 5k.

Hell no. We averaged 2600 in 2014 at Hofheinz. The 1983 Houston Cougars were one of the most entertaining teams in the history of college basketball, and we averaged 7900 at home. Our current capacity is plenty for the rest time.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Almost every arena renovation has taken away capacity but added amenities which people will pay for which brings in new revenue.

SMU, Cinci and how Houston have added revenue generating amenities while taking away mostly plain bleacher/seating capacity in their recent arena renovations.

Yep.. and I should correct my original post to read that we'll be closer to 11,500 average for all conference games when it is all said and done.

Nice basketball history, proven and excellent coach, and great fans. You have to like Wichita State in this conference going forward.
