RE: UNT: Graham Harrell the New OC at Southern Cal
This is a place where grown men passionately argue about 18-22 yr old boys playing a game. Grammar should be the least of our worries.

SSJ, I, for one, had no idea that you're dyslexic. I know a bit about it, but can't imagine how one must struggle to overcome it. And to the contrary, you are actually a very good writer, posting some great material here and elsewhere and expressing yourself very well which was the only reason I brought up the then-versus-than subject in the first place. I saw it as something that might hold you back in your professional life. My comment was not mean-spirited in any way and I'm glad that you didn't take it that way.
Looking back, I guess you were wondering, "wtf is that idiot posting that pic over and over again?".

RE: UNT: Who Should Be the Next OC?
Harrell is gone to Southern Cal, and Meacham has been mentioned by some sources as a possible candidate, but are their others we should be looking at?
I have made a case for Albin the OC at Ohio, but now I'm wondering if Littrell might be looking at Scott Linehan. They have recently parted ways after about 5 seasons as the OC for the Dallas Cowboys. His son also plays at North Texas.

Scott Linehan? You really need to cut back on the drinking.
If a coach doesn't have experience with the Air Raid and if he can't recruit then he's not being hired. I know Linehan doesn't have experience with the Air Raid and I'm pretty sure his personality would not win over high school kids.
Linehan's son is a walk-on backup linebacker for us so if he doesn't take another job he might be at some games but it'll be in the stands as a father, not as a coach.

I think Tim Albin, the OC at Ohio should get a look. He has been very successful at Ohio. Ohio had a better offense then UNT last season, putting up more yardage and points then the Mean Green. Plus the guy is a native of Oklahoma, so he understands the players and recruiting. Albin makes about $150,000 a year at Ohio. Harrell was making $275,000. I'm sure Albin would get about the same, if not more.
Albin may have the inside track on the Ohio job when Solich retires.
Littrell will be moving on in a year or two. A successful OC could easily slide into the HC position at UNT, if things are rolling. As things stand now, I think the head job at UNT will be the more attractive job when compared to Ohio. Plus it is closer to Albin's roots. Littrell could go a number of ways, I just see Albin as an opportunity to snatch an underrated OC that could improve our offensive production.
From what I've seen of Albin offense, he likes to run the ball. That would be a philosophical 180 for Litrell. Ohio only threw the ball a handful of times in the Fresco Bowl against San Diego State. I don't see UNT running the ball.

I see your point Joe, but that is also assuming that things get better for UNT and not worse. Pretty sure it’s gonna be a three team race in the west this year among UNT, LaTech, and USM. I don’t think UAB stands a chance after losing a bajillion seniors. UTEP is and UTSA is an unknown, and Rice is a total friggin’ enigma.
If Littrell can’t make it back to the CUSA CCG - again - after all of the horn blowing UNT has done, this whole plan might have backfired on them.
Litrell has a lot of coaches to replace. We need an RB coach, a DB coach, and now OC. He has done a fine job of replacing coaches that he has lost since taking over at UNT. With almost all of our offensive weapons returning for their senior season, I will be quite disappointed if North Texas doesn't play in the title game. 2019's roster will reflect 4 years of recruiting under Littrell. There is no excuse for a down season.
Don't forget, even if Littrell has a big season, he could still stay at North Texas. He really likes it here, and he is very interested in the OU position. Littrell could stay at UNT until Riley leaves, if he believes it will be an option for him. He certainly has enough connections at OU to know if he would be a real contender for the position.
Lincoln Riley will be at OU for the next 20 years. I don't think Litrell sticks around at North Texas for that long.

THAN, than the Mean Green.
You're a great poster but that constant error on your part drives me stark, raving, mad. :)
If that's the case my errors probably drove you to become a democrat by now....
if you are stark, raving, mad. Not just any democrat but a Hillary loving one LOL. (Before someone take my post as politics and go there...its a joke)
Most of my mistakes come from my fingers not typing what I'm thinking. Usually I noticed them with in a day or two and correct the mistakes. But some I look back on and think...what in the hell was I trying to say.
It's actually rare that I say anything to anyone because, as you say, many of the errors are typos, nothing more and this is, afterall, a sports site. We all make typos and stupid mistakes. SSJ is an excellent poster who contributes tremendously to this site. My comment, more than anything, was to encourage him to take a look at the difference between then and than, and hopefully fix the problem. While no one here probably cares, perhaps it'll make a difference for him in his professional life. Besides, I'm tired of posting this pic and getting no response from him.
Long live SSJ!
