If they focus on him and others have success, then we are fine. He makes the team better when he is in the lineup.

Agreed. I believe they still haven't lost a game with Wade on the ice this season. The Wade explosion is coming too.

RE: #4 Denver @ #13 Western Michigan
I just returned home from the hockey game in Kalamazoo. Around 4 pm I checked the schedule and realized I had scheduling conflict the weekend of North Dakota series -- so I decided to make a last minute trip from Ann Arbor. I was really glad I did because the boys dominated tonight. We had to grab standing room only tickets as it was sold out. While waiting for seats, a couple approach us and asked if I wanted their tickets a few rows in back of the Bronco bench -- damn near dead center ice. I grabbed them in a heartbeat! The crowd was amazing and the Lunatics were in full force.

It took us a little over 2 hours to get home because of the weather but it was worth it. I'm really excited for the future of WMU hockey!

Awesome, BroncoMD. No place like Lawson when it's packed and rocking! Wish I could make it to a game there this year, but saving that road trip east for the Frozen Four 04-cheers

Lawson was absolutely rocking -- every Bronco hockey fan needs to make the trip to Kalamazoo this year. We are legit. My youngest son had a pretty good week -- he attended the Michigan (#5) versus Minnesota basketball game on Tuesday and then witnessed the #13 ranked Broncos versus #4 Denver on Saturday. I think he is hooked!

Was at the Griffins game last night with the family so I missed the entire game so thanks everyone for the updates. After last weekend I had very little confidence in the team against DU and did they ever prove me wrong!

When they play their best these guys can beat anyone in the country and I can't wait for SCSU to come to Lawson and see how we matchup with them on the smaller sheet of ice.

Looks like St. Cloud St was hit by the flu bug this weekend. They only had 9 healthy forwards dressed last night. So, the team NoDak beat last night was very different than the one we played last weekend.

Great interview...should be a must watch for all young coaches. Celebrate the victory but make sure you get your points across. Wins can be learning experiences as can losses. Don’t settle or allow poor decisions even in the face of victory!

I still think with a healthy squad and at Lawson next month, we could split with those guys. I’m excited to see what we can do against them at Lawson.

If we hit them like we did Denver, I think it will be a big difference. We now have the best remaining road schedule one can have in the NCHC, so our destiny is in our hands.

It'll be a fun test w/ Ethen & Wade in the lineup and at Lawson. We're a top 10 team. We should be able to get a split at home.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on how this team compares to the 2012-13 team (Murray’s first year, ccha champs) and the 2016-2017 team that had icopelli, Molino, dries.

I feel like this team is better than both those honestly. When they put it all together like this last weekend, they can beat anyone in the country. We just gotta get that monkey off of our back and win that first ncaa tourney game and I feel like this is the year we are gonna finally do it.

This is the best team I have ever seen at WMU when at full strength.

This is the best group of talent Western has ever had. At full strength, our 4 lines this past weekend were absolutely loaded. I've been pretty impressed with Rhett Kingston so far and he was a healthy scratch. Imagine if Paul Cotter stayed this year. Some of our past teams had more veteran leadership. And that's not something to sneeze at. But, I'd take this team over all the others.

This is year 6 of being in the NCHC. I think we have now fully transformed into a good NCHC program. The talent will turnover faster than it did before because a lot more of these kids will have a future in the pro's. But, we'll continue to attract the next wave because kids around North America will want to play in the best conference in college hockey. I've never been more excited about Bronco hockey.

I just hope we don’t have a let down vs Omaha this weekend. It seems like we never play well in Omaha

Next weekend is an opportunity for SCSU, UMD, & WMU to separate themselves from the pack. We have 5 pt cushion over 4th place. North Dakota plays at Denver next weekend. Huge battle for the final home spot in the NCHC tourney. If Denver & NoDak split that series and the top 3 all sweep the bottom 3, the top 3 will be in very good shape.

I agree and like someone said, our last few road and home series couldn’t have worked out better here down the stretch.

Great game Saturday. Fastest team all four lines I've seen at WMU. This team has a Frozen Four chance
