It’s no uglier than the basketball court that Oregon plays on.

Unfortunately the floor is the basketball equivalent of EMU's gray football turf. Difficult to look at.

I love the floor, in concept. It's an awesome idea, but in practice it make the place look dark and uninviting. I was watching some ACC game while getting score update of the NIU game, and that place had a normal light colored floor and it felt brightly lit and inviting. The convo feels dark and drab.

I like it, too. It's pretty cool...

Probably a ref's nightmare with the black three point line blending with a black court.

Also probably a statistician's nightmare trying to figure actually what are "points in the paint".

Cool concept---bad execution.

Could it be due to them being reminiscent of "Northwestern stripes" maybe?

Guess it goes with the "theme" of the new Northwestern Medicine Performance Center.

If NIU admins are reading this, I suggest taking out the large black dog and replace it back with the niu huskie head that you had before..

Then off to the side of free throw lines, make a box with the black "eyes" in it,,a small box, not a large one.

Best of both worlds then.

I do love the red and black endzones at Huskie Stadium, they are awesome!
