RE: Democrats to Pelosi: "Give Trump the Money"
I've had a few people recently try to convince me that Trump was "boxed in" and should "cut his losses" on the wall

Perhaps they are wrong?

LOL. You have 1 Democratic Congressman, who happens to be the most conservative Dem in the entire House delegation, representing the most Trumpian district in the entire nation with a Democratic Congressman, calling for a cave-in to Trump. That's it. 1 out of 235 Democrats

You have 1 out of 47 Democratic Senators, who happens to be the most conservative Dem in the entire Senate delegation, representing the most Trumpian electorate in the nation with a Democratic Senator. calling for a cave-in to Trump. 1 out of 47.

----

How many Republican Senators voted to reopen the government without wall funding? Six.

Interesting. Let's cut the $hit and get real about this. IMHO, we have an illegal immigration problem. Do you agree or disagree? If you agree, then what alternatives do you suggest that would tangibly reduce illegal immigration? One thing that is objectively undeniable is this: The poorest and most vulnerable American citizens are hurt by illegal immigration due to the fact that a lot of downward pressure on wages occur among the least skilled American workers.

So you're in favor of raising the minimum wage?

About as well as the majority of yours.

At least the OP didn't use a message board as a source.

I have a thought. Sanctuary cities violate federal law. Suppose Trump directed DOJ to start arresting and prosecuting mayors and police chiefs of sanctuary cities. What would be the reaction? How would that change the debate?

Ohhhhh, the Demons would have a cow and shiating like one too. There'd be protests and shouts of "dictator" by the Leftists. My opinion is, they need to be arrested and when they find out they will be just watch how fast they do that U-Turn and stop with the sanctuary BS. Now, Crimson's favorite state ala their governor want to make the WHOLE state a sanctuary state. As it is they can't even support their own people, their second favorite school Enemas U. has to ask their fans to chip in for snacks for the football team, etc.

That place is a mess and if you'd ask me if I wanted El Paso to become a New Mexico city I'd say, "shut the heck up"...born a Texan and will die one.

I am not sure I want to encourage the Federal government to arrest elected State officials. If the locals don't like sanctuary cities then they should vote the jamokes out of office.
