There you go. Look for the negative in a win.

And it’s losing, not loosing.

I'm delighted with the W,,, but my concerns stand as stated.

I am too. This team already has about as many conference wins as I expected for the whole season. I think a part of it is that the league is terrible, but whatever the case we are among the top teams, at least for now. Like you I still have lots of concerns, all the way down to the last second tonight, but it is a road W and this team keeps surprising me. I hope they keep it up.

Go Blazers.

Just one note to add, we now have wins over 2 teams in that logjam at second. We couldn't win a road game for anything this year, and now we are going to complain about the way we win the road game? This team plays extremely hard. The offense hasn't put it altogether yet, but the consistent defense has definitely helped us out. Many thought this would be "the worst season ever" and now that it isn't coming true we are making excuses for why it isn't. And we still have posters who only show up after L's. It's bizarre that people "support" a team, but have nothing to say when things are going well.

We have a really decent shot at winning the next 3, but my guess is we will drop one of those. After that we hit our toughest stretch of the conference season in my opinion:
ODU
Charlotte
@Marshall
@WKU

There are 9 teams with 2-4 losses now. Hopefully we can be one of the five in the top pod at the end of that stretch.

RE: North Texas
This is a gritty, young, fun team. I'm happy to pump some sunshine:

Our defense is impressive and has been most of the season. As others have posted, we've also made great half-time adjustments in almost every game.

Lewis has found a nice and useful mid-range shot.

Mahktar has really developed over last year. What he lacks in size he makes up for in speed and attitude.

Tavin has a nice slashing game that has helped open up interior defenses.

Tyreek and Tamell have contributed some solid minutes with Butler out.

I wouldn't bet money on us winning every game, but these Blazers are playing their hearts out every night on the floor. I think it's a nice change over what we've seen over the past few seasons.

KP has UAB closing out the season 5-2, which would be 9-5 in the conference (before pods) and 3-3 on the road. Hard to be too disappointed in that.

Yes, I am one of those posters who was certain that this was going to be one of the worst teams ever. I suggested on this board as we entered conference season that we had a better chance being one of the bottom four teams in the league than we did the top four. Clearly, I was wrong.

Having said that, I still don't think we're very good, but that our competition is just worse; but we are getting W's, and a conference road win is always good, and here we are knocking on the door for first place. I couldn't be happier about being wrong.

I am there, (almost) every game, as I have been for 40 years. I am still a fan, though I am still not sold that we are on our way to great things. But for now, I will enjoy the wins and hope we keep improving and surprising people.

RE: North Texas
I enjoy how hard this team plays. Being able to win a game at North Texas was impressive. I was pleased with the defensive effort all night. Plus, making our opponent play defense for long stretches and keeping the ball in Bryant's hands paid off in the end. Just keep grinding it out. Our opponents seem clearly frustrated playing that style. I think UAB can get some great shots staying patient on offense late in the shot clock too going inside and then back out. Make free throws and get some clutch shooting and this team can contend for the conference title. Kudos to Ehsan and entire team with great effort!

Very nice win! All conference road wins should count as 1.5 wins. :)
