13-8 North Texas 7 mins left in the 1st half. Defense looks great... Offense, not so much...

That's probably about average for the past 6-7 years

RE: North Texas
Well the three point defense may be predictably poor, but we're giving them fits when they go inside. Seems like every time they go down low, it's a turnover or highly contested shot.

RE: North Texas
Gueye misses a 3, UNT hits a 3
Blazers trail 20-21.

Perry misses the shot, gets the rebound and gets fouled. Hits 2 FT's
Blazers up 22-21

UNT hits a 3, down 22-24

thats how the half ends

I think I would legitimately sell a piece of my soul for some 3 point defense. Not that I know what 3 point defense looks like, because I haven't seen it since Mike Davis...... I seriously feel like UNT has 18 of their 24 points from beyond the arc.

Not a very good first half for either team but at least we're close & took the lead however briefly it was. Can't say I care for Bein either since they're soccer oriented & CUSA is just time filler until a soccer game comes on.

In Mike Davis's last three seasons, UAB held the opponents to 31%, 34% and 31% from the three point line. This includes 2011 when we won the conference championship. 31% is the best that Mike Davis had in his 6 seasons.

This season's team holds the opponents to...….wait for it.....32.5%

And those 3 seasons averaged a SOS of 77 on RealtimeRPI. This year's SOS so far is 237th. Just saying, there's some context

We can thank the likes of the Canisiuses, West Alabamas, and Alcorn States that that's not higher.

The point is that you said nothing about strength of schedule. You said that you have not seen decent three point defense since Mike Davis. I pointed out you were wrong. Shooting percentage has ranged from 31% to 34% all along no matter the strength of schedule.

Played? Sure. Filled the schedule with? Not so much.

Game related news: UNT leads 32-25 with under 15 mins left

Sorry, I'll be sure to point out, "Can't play 3 point Defense against teams with a pulse" next time. The almighty Memphis Blazer wins again lmao
