MyBB North Texas
North Texas is rated 128th by KenPom. They are 17-2 and 5-1. UAB is rated 159th.

North Texas played one of the easiest OOC schedules in the country, which was ranked 346th (out of 353. East Carolina had the easiest OOC schedule.). That doesn’t even include the three non-D1 schools they beat.

Best wins: La Tech (139) and USM (157). Both of those wins were at home and were victories by 4 and 3 points respectively. Of course, those are two teams UAB lost to on the road.

Worst losses: Well they only have two losses - OU (25) and UTSA (177). Both were on the road.

Last game: North Texas came back at home to beat Rice (272), 76-75. North Texas trailed by 11 with five minutes to go. Rice only scored four points in the last five minutes. https://www.dentonrc.com/sports/men-s-ba...e7a2c.html

They are 10-0 at home this season.

North Texas is favored 70-64.

RE: North Texas
It appears North Texas plays a relatively short line-up, with 6-10, 235 Zachary Simmons surrounded by four players 6-3 or shorter. Simmons averages 11.6 points per game and 6.6 rebounds.

They have six players averaging double figures in points, led by Ryan Woolridge (6-3, 175) at 12.6 points per game.

Unlike our last two opponents (UTEP and UTSA), North Texas is balanced. Four players have 24 or more made 3’s, but Freshman Umoja Gibson (6-1, 160) is 48-119 (40%) from 3-pt land.

RE: North Texas
We do not need this game to be decided by the officials. All close games at the pit this conference season have left the visiting teams with L's. And the visiting teams fans highly pissed at officiating. So I can only assume that NT gets a "real" home court advantage.

RE: North Texas
Since there are different officials for each home game, is there some kind of endocrination they go thru before each game to produce such home cooking?

I watched the UNT - Texas Arlington game in person. I observed no “home cooking”. North Texas almost got beat but UTA collapsed at the end

RE: North Texas
Never said anything about home cooking. I said a "home court advantage" that most home teams get from officiating just because officials are human. Sorry I should have made that more clear in my post above. I also said conference season so not sure what your OOC experience has to do with it.

Well, La Tech fans started calling the conference CUAB when they thought we were getting all the breaks. Is someone going to do the same thing with UNT?

RE: North Texas
This is a good test for this team. UAB has yet to beat a team with a pulse on the road. Despite UNTs seemingly inflated record due to an easy schedule, I believe they're a a legit contender in this league. This is the toughest of the upcoming three game road stretch.

Thank you. I always appreciate your "scouting report" of the opponent, and your analysis of the team. I am anxious to see IF we can win a conference game on the road, tonight or any time. I would love to see us pull this one off.
