O/T Josh Jackson Looking to transfer
Saline via AA Huron product Josh Jackson is looking to transfer from Virginia Tech. His dad was the long-time Uofm rb coach and lately Ypsilanti High Head Football Coach and Dean of Students.
Before you say the Qb room is full... Could he becoming here?

Should be interesting! When he’s been healthy, he has looked like one of the best QB’s in the nation.

I saw this in the Washington Post this morning and meant to post.

I believe I saw he was a redshirt soph (2016 h.s. grad?).

If this is correct (I'm double check) he has used three of his 5 years of eligibility. If so, he would sit one and play one.

Once again, athletes who use their redshirt years for development or medical face a tough situation when they want to transfer as they would be sitting two of their 5 years (redshirt + transfer sitout year).

His tweet suggests that he will graduate. So he may have two years to play two seasons.

Did he enroll at mid-year out of H.S.?

That is a great way to get a chance to complete a 4-year degree in 3.

EDIT: He did enroll at mid year for Va Tech.

Josh should be able to pick his own school.

Tremendous position he is in.

BTW, see where the Detroit News indicated that Jackson was recruited for Va Tech by the new BG coach, Scott Loeffler.

I assume he'll go P5 school, regardless. Maybe some school in B1G country.

BGSU has a lot of 1990s michigan flavor on it would not be surprised if he ends up down 23.

@emusteve, although it does look like he can probably grad transfer to be able to play ASAP. You always forget about the medical redshirt. He only played 3 games this year and you can stack redshirts on med-shirts.
