Beavers, a Cincinnati native, was a 2-star prospected that was recruited by Randy Edsall in the class of 2017 and did not receive an offer from the Bearcats out of high school. Beavers will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Sorry, I didn't first check the Subflea Recruiting Forum before posting this thread. Anywho, I think it's good news and look forward to his arrival and contributions to the program.

I assume he will have to sit out a year unless he has a hardship reason to come home.

A quick check of the forecast shows one double digit high temperature in the forecast (13 degrees) the next nine days in Minneapolis. Hope P.J. packed plenty of long underwear when he accepted that job.

I've heard at least one assistant coach at UC talk about the challenges of recruiting kids from Florida because of the perception of Cincinnati being the frozen north. Just show those recruits the temps and snowfall in Minneapolis and the tri-state looks downright balmy. That's one big reason I don't think Minnesota will ever rise above the middle tier in the B10.
