Football picks up a Penn St grad transfer
Torrence Brown, 6-3 257 defensive end, from Penn St announced he is transferring here and will have 1 year of eligibility which will be this upcoming season. Brown committed to USM out of high school in January 2014 but flipped to Penn St on signing day. He only made 7 starts in 3 years with a career high of 32 tackles in 2016. Says a series of injuries (and probably lack of playing time) is his reason for leaving Penn St. Granted he isn't a stud P5 d-lineman but he should added needed depth and experience this upcoming season.
