ODU and Marshall fans, why so many many negative comments about NT? According to some of you NT has no change against your teams, so why the preoccupation with NT.

As for as the oc schedule, what differences does that make at this point. Exchange the worst 3 teams that NT beat with the best teams Marshall has played and assume NT loss all three. That would give NT a better record than Marshall with a better oc schedule.

This is conference basketball, most of the matches are going to be close and the CUSA regular season and tournament winner will have several league loses.

I highly doubt you will find a single ODU fan here who will say UNT stands no chance against ODU. ODU still has stuff to figure out, and I think we are both capable of beating AND losing to every team in our conference. We were down by 10 at the half in Charlotte... UNCC is a sub 250 team this year. Nobody, including me, is going to guarantee any ODU win against anybody.

As far as the other stuff, I think it's just a combination of how some of your fans have rubbed some people here the wrong way.

I think it's just one or two of the Marshall fans that are salty this week. Probably because of the thread with Appy and Charlotte. I sat with Marshall fans in 2017 at UTSA and found them to be a really cool lot. No doubt that our schedule ramps up a lot. And I think there is a high chance that Marshall beats us at home. We are not world beaters, but our boys are a pretty solid squad that should make a game out it against anyone.

I dunno, Brother. We almost NEVER play well in Texas (I don’t know what happened to us during the tourney last year). I figure we’ll probably drop that game to you all. As long as we peak at the right time, I’ll be fine with that.

Perhaps I am about to insult all 200 of us by saying this, but I think in general the fans we meet in person are a lot more cool and chill than the keyboard warriors we encounter on here. All my encounters with visiting fans in Norfolk have been pleasant ones.

I will say that home court is probably good for 3-6 points for the home team for sure, depending on who is playing. I'm assuming all the home/away matchups will get flipped next year. It's not perfect, no, but I still think this is better than what we had before.

WKU is definitely inconsistent this year. ODU may be as well. But Vegas adjusts by 4 points to the home team when figuring lines. That's real money on the line. Just look at our own conference. By my tally the home team is 32-13 this year. In conference USA, outside conference USA, anywhere. There is overwhelming statistical evidence that home court advantage is a big deal. It's a generally accepted fact.
