Biggest series of the year vs Denver this weekend. It's now clearly a race for 2nd place in the NCHC. St. Cloud State has an 8 pt cushion over 2nd place. UMD, Denver, Western, & NoDak are all in the mix for 2nd.

Hopefully, Wade, Frank, DiPietro, and any other Bronco with an injury give it a go this weekend. Absolutely MUST win 1. 2 is preferable.

St Cloud has to be Natl Champ favorite. Wonder if you see Allison rest of year. Don't think his leg is responding to treatment.

Allison is not out right now because of his knee. He had a head injury in the Vegas Tournament.

I can confirm this. I was in Vegas and saw it happen. In the first period vs Uconn he crashed hard into the boards. He lost his balance and fell. He laid there for a minute but then got up and skated to the bench. He came back and played the rest of the weekend fine, thats where I am not understanding why he isnt playing when they played him the rest of the tournament. If it was concussion, he would have went through protocol right then and there and if he had one, he wouldnt have played the rest of the weekend.

Maybe it does have to do with his knee more so......just my two cents

Wish we knew about what happened with Ethen Frank???

6 NCHC series, 12 games left:

Denver (home), Omaha (road), North Dakota (home), Colorado College (away), Saint Cloud (home), Miami (away)

In reality, gotta at least split with Denver, sweep omaha, possibly sweep Nodak, gotta sweep CC, split with SC, and sweep Miami and we will be in good shape to at least get an at large bid in NCAA's. If we lose games to CC / Omaha, you can probably kiss an at large bid goodbye

AM confirms Wade and Frank will both be back this weekend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XFwrW2ci5s

Apparently Ethen was sick all last week, maybe flu or something.

Very encouraging, we need a full lineup against Denver!

Robin Hook talked about it on the broadcast during the Miami series. It happened in the Friday game vs UConn in Vegas. He played through it on Saturday vs AF.

If they finish top 4 in the NCHC, they're a lock. If they finish 5th, they'll be squarely on the bubble.

I’d modify that some.

3rd or higher is a lock.

4th is probable

5th is a stretch and will need a lot of help.

If we take care of games that we should win (CC, Omaha, Miami) and split the rest or do better, we should have no problem finishing 3rd / 4th.

I would love to get a crack at UMass, they are so overrated. They are a good team yes, but if they play the likes of Denver, Saint Cloud, it will show they arent THAT good.

What makes you conclude Mass is overrated? Hockey East is and has always been a great conference, and usually can make a credible argument for one of if not the best conference (I'm not suggesting the NCHC isn't the best this year). Mass has only lost four games. Thats impressive in hockey. And the Pairwise eliminates the subjectivity, so the ratings are as legitimate as you can get in today's sports world.

They are over rated and Hockey East is not what it use to be either . Put them in the NCHC they would be somewhere from 3rd to 5th . Hockey East is just over .500 in non conference vs NCHC at just about .700

If this is how it shook out, I could easily see an All-NCHC Frozen Four. That would be something!
