This also shows why we dont need to limit the size of the clips. Dude was in a shootout against 5 other men.

Also, its really nice to have an "assault rifle" to defend yourself from being assaulted.

Serious question. I have never shot a higher caliber weapon than my .45 so I'm pretty ignorant on this. How far can a 5.56 travel? I.E. in a cramped neighborhood what is the likelihood in a shoot out scenario of a bullet traveling into a neighbors home?

Self defense ammo won’t penetrate multiple walls in most situations. Solids may go through multiple walls but generally won’t travel that far. It’s a light bullet. 55grains where as your 45 probably is 250 grains.

I knew the concept of the 5.56 was to substitute mass for velocity which is far more devastating to the body, but I didn't know how well it held up to penetrating multiple surfaces.

IMO if a 5.56 will go through a wall material so will a .45. Neither is likely to penetrate a masonry veneer wall at any distance.

Why would you shoot at an intruder?

Just be like Uncle Joe and walk out on the balcony here, walk out and put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house.

That guy is going to jail! I'm about 90% sure that video was done in the central valley area of California, and a lot of those clips and probably bullets are illegal in that crazy state.

I'm assuming that guy had some sort of military and/or law enforcement training. His gun handling was very good.

I'm sure you meant magazines. And agreed on the illegal part IF he is in Cali. He would probably tell state law enforcement to suck on his balls. He also cheeted. His aim was so good, he was hitting the center where the skillet was the thinnest (when he turns one around you can see the low relief design casting).
