or just pointing out the whiny marshall fans about this schedule...saying they shot terribly at the beginning from 3, yet wky equally terrible and all the turnovers wky had...must have been due to the awesome defense of marshall, yet defense is much tougher than offense...then the epic meltdown

you're totally right about the basketball team beating the blind and deaf schools...is what it is and schools beat schools that are on their schedule

i know north texas isn't amazing this year, not disputing that. only pointing out the excuses that fans of marshall are throwing out...it's all good dude.

and i'm sure marshall, wky, muts, fau, fiu and every other team is going to beat north texas...no big deal...it's basketball. some teams win, some lose..no excuses

WKU guts it out--well I guess. Mainly it was Josh Anderson- career high 25 points--most in a very late surge offensively AND on defense (five steals).

I'm not sure that Anderson hasn't been the most consistent player on the team for the last stretch. Bassey has his turnovers. Beardon is just a wild card. Banton makes freshmen mistakes. Hollingsworth disappeared for much of tonight and had some egregious defensive lapses.

At 6 minutes, Marshall was on a run, up 7 with the ball. A drivble out of bounds later and WKU caught fire and Marshall didn't acore from the field again for 4 minutes. That was the ball game. That game felt like a title game. Both teams tired and played their asses off. UNT fans amuse me though. That ass whoopin is comin x 2 with wku and marshall as travel partners.

Marshall screwed up. They should have let WKY get a double-digit first half lead. Then they would have won easily.

I had that thought as well. Both teams were tight. It was a big game and both teams wanted it.

Josh Anderson loves playing against Marshall....WKU was due to close out some games and did the last two....Would be nice to see if we have taken the next step get up big and finish....
