Do we run offensive sets? I'm not seeing any off ball movement

I would add that we might want to show a pulse on offense.

For the life of me I don't understand what we are trying to accomplish on the offensive end. We don't make the opposing team work hard on their defensive end. Way too much standing around...1 on 1 hero ball.

We had no open looks and they forced us into tough shot after tough shot. Their defense knew exactly what we were running and how to defend it. This is exactly like the FAU game.

35% FG percentage isn’t going to get it done.

Really is annoying to watch this team when we suck against the worst teams of the league

He's not wrong though. 0.77 ppp on offense, 1.10 on defense. Both are awful...

Our offensive sets and movement off the ball almost never looks like most any other team we play. We seem to play a lot of one on one stuff with a lot of dribbling instead of a team moving / passing / screening concept.

Defensively, teams have figured out - and it isn't hard at all to figure out - that if you have a decent point guard that can dribble and pass, just line up one or two shooters at the arc, and dribble to one side off a screen set at the top of the key. Once you get to one side of the court the ODU defender on the opposite side is going to move next to the lane under the basket leaving the shooter unguarded on the weak side. The point guard then either breaks free for a layup off the screen, elevates for an open jump shot because the guy ran under the screen, or fires a pass to the open guy standing at the arc for an open 3 point attempt. Marshall got numerous open shots on us because of that, and Charlotte has had numerous shots just like that already in the first half alone.

Jeff needs to have his guys stay closer to the guys posted up around the arc instead of playing 12-15 feet off of them. ODU's pick and roll defense this season has not been very good, and on top of that they are leaving shooters open off of it as well.
