RE: UTSA
Last season UTSA dominated UAB at Bartow Arena, 82-70. UAB never led, and trailed by 19 points with four and half minutes left in the game.
Jhivvan Jackson (6-0, 170) scored 24 points against us last year. He hit the winning bucket to beat North Texas last Saturday. He had 17 points in that game. He had another 25 points last night in the loss at MT.
Eleven times, so far this season, Jackson has scored 20 or more points. He is fully capable of putting up 30 points any given night.
Jackson tore his ACL late last season (Feb. 24th, 2018), and missed the final 6 games last season and the first 3 games this season.

On paper, he appears to be fully recovered.

RE: UTSA
So Jackson and Wallace scorched UAB for 55 points, with 22 and 33 points respectively. They were a combined 14-35 (40%) from 3-pt land. Several of their shots were 3 feet or more behind the arc.
We will see these guys again. Both are sophomores.

RE: UTSA
They are great players...its was obvious watching them at Bartow how good they were. But they need a supporting cast to go with them desperately. They have some rebounders and that is it. The guard with the #5 is a good PG but he didn't have a great game. If they get another scorer at the 4 or 5 that is going to be an extremely difficult team to beat in the future. Not that they already aren't now ala last season.
Also I hope our fans are ready for Thursday. There hasn't been a single conference game that has happen in Denton this year that the away team didn't walk away feeling cheated by the officials.
