I know it's not everyone's sport but I enjoy watching the sprints and relays. And the women's team is always enjoyable to watch. 03-cloud9

Nice to see some universities are committing tangible money to their track and field programs while my favorite school axes the entire program.

I feel your pain. I was on SMU’s last cross-country/track team. I now cheer on the University of Houston.

The new banked indoor track debuted last weekend at the Leonard Hilton Invitational.

A HS and a youth meet there this weekend.

I still feel we'd have won it last year if Brian Barraza clears one more barrier...

RE: UH Men's Indoor T&F ranked #3
UH just wrapped up at the Red Raider Open in Lubbock today.

4x400m relay was the marquee matchup: Texas Tech vs. LSU vs. UH.

UH wins it with a new school record in the 4x400 with an NCAA season best of 3:03.31!

It appears that's the 11th fastest NCAA indoor 4x400 EVER! http://www.ustfccca.org/records-lists/in...time-bests

...and it's only the 2nd week of the season.

Congrats? Lemme know when I can catch the in the Olympics.

If Hatin' were an Olympic sport, you'd still come in 4th.

RE: UH Men's Indoor T&F ranked #3 (#4 as of 2/4)
Dragging this back up. Coogs have some nice things going. HTownSpeedCity is forreal.

UH 4x400 had the #1 time in the world coming into today (3:03.31)...then beat it by almost two seconds today, with the 4th best time in world history (3:01.52). Closing in on a world record by the National Championships?

UH's Obi Igbokwe ran the 2019 world-leading time of 45.35 in the 400m race today at Clemson. Teammate Kahmari Montgomery came in the 4th in the 400m today, which put him #4 in the nation, as the top 4 finishers were the 4 fastest 400m times in the US in 2019. (The a4mentioned sentence has the 4th most 4's I've ever written in my 44+ years of writing).

UH also has:
Mario Burke #5 & #9 times in 60m in NCAA's this year
Montgomery #4, Igbokwe #7 in 200m in NCAA's this year
Amere Lattin #8 in 60m hurdles in NCAA

Postseason begins in two weeks -- American Conference Championships are Feb 22-23 in Birmingham, Alabama. (Why, do you ask, would AAC hold their Championships in Birmingham?)

NCAA Indoor National Championships on March 8-9 in Birmingham, Alabama.

If you're going to report on UH Track, I'd prefer you be fair and balanced and let us know how the UConn Tiddlywinks squad is faring.

Not ranked, as far as I can tell: https://tiddlywinks.org/tournament-types...p-results/
