I wonder if these games get anymore traction in 2019? Most seem to have viewing audiences in the low thousands.

CUSA fans what did you think of the Internet broadcasts so far? I assume it is a case of better than no video broadcast.

RE: Coming To Facebook: CUSA
I haven't watched any of the CBS/Facebook broadcasts but the Stadium ones are fine. Good quality, decent announcing, easily accessible. The biggest downside to me is they push the social media aspect of it the whole game. You can fix your screen so you don't see the comments scrolling through but they have had (at least for BB games) typically two announcers calling the game and a third "on-air personality" for lack of a better word that will come in and tell you to tweet or Instagram or whatever a hashtag, then they'll show a picture someone sent in of their dog dressed in school colors or something. That gets annoying. But the quality and accessibility is good.

I'm not a CUSA fan, but I've watched a fair number of games via facebook live. Personally, as a cable cutter, I like them. I expect it to be a growing trend in the future.

RE: Coming To Facebook: CUSA
I've watched a couple of soccer games on Facebook before and it's not the best experience.

That and Facebook has lost about half of its traffic in the last couple of years.

I'm not sure it's a good idea.

I watched a couple JMU WSoc games on Facebook, and the quality was good, but it might have been a better feed than the one AllTideUp was using. I've watched games on Twitter as well, and the quality was surprisingly good. I am all for streaming options for any and all sports, so I appreciate CUSA making the commitment.

RE: Coming To Facebook: CUSA
So is Facebook is basically just paying CBS-Sports to produce the games? With CUSA gearing up its on campus production capabilities for ESPN Plus----it seems like they would be better off producing the games themselves and pocketing a production fee from Facebook.
