Charlotte Strength Coach Jim Durning going to Southern Miss
for same position, Per FootballScoop.

Considered a good coach. Helped transition their program transition into FBS. Seems like a good hire. Charlotte has whooped our asses a few time. Nice pickup.

Interesting couple of the replies on twitter under "To The Top"'s post about the hire. It's not like Hopson went out and hired someone who's been out of the business for the last 20 years. I realize he probably isn't coming with the accolades/pedigree that Paul Jackson or the UAB guy that left us for Kansas brought but judging by the small sampling of twitter replies you'd think we hired a graduate assistant from Alcorn St.
