I’ll take it! It was a bit closer than I hoped it would be but I’ve decided that I just needed to recalibrate my expectations for this team.

Good news is that whenever Miami made a run, and they made a few in the second half, the Rockets steadied themselves & didn’t fold.

Great start and Littleson really steps up. The bench is disappearing, even Jackson didn’t get much PT in the second half it seemed. Defense pretty much saved us, that and the fact that Ringo is about half the player he was last year. He did nothing tonight. Sibande and later #2 were pretty much the show. Weird season-BGSU looks like Buffalo’s competition and UT is almost atop the Wedst at 2-2, while BSU can’t beat anyone but us,

Great analysis on the MAC. The Ball St. one really gets to me. That game had to be one of the worst losses in program history with so much on the line. Did the kid from Toledo see any PT for Miami?

I think he was #13. Scored their first 8 then got 2 the rest of the way. I wondered why the crowd cheered for his first couple baskets. Actually, I still do.

Miami is pretty undersized and struggled getting anything inside, unlike last year when Ringo just abused us. He is MAC assist leader and had 0 assists and maybe four points. Didn’t really seem to be exerting much effort.

Actually, we haven’t. Our top minutes per game guy is about 15th in the MAC at 31 per game. Sanford and Navi are just over 30, everyone else is at 25 or less. In years past we’ve had 3 or more in the Top Five in mpg at 34-35. We should have a lot fewer miles on the legs come MAC Tournament than in years past.

But in the past blowouts equaled Sanford, Fletcher and Navi getting 36 minutes. Close games were 38, even 40 in some cases. Minutes are minutes- the toll on your legs playing five more minutes in a blowout is roughly equal to that taken by five extra minutes in a close conference game. Any way you slice it, we are deeper and should be better rested than any year in recent memory.

Alderson hardly played at all v Miami. It is now more of an 8 man rotation instead of 9.
