Someone's gonna make a great doc about ESPN's turn to politics and downfall here in a couple of years. Seems they finally got the picture, though.

Mike Greenberg does a good job. He’s very knowledgeable. Michelle Beadle needed to go. She really never seemed prepared and was probably only there for the ‘eye candy’ factor anyhow.

Why?

Lil Penny is fun. And the more our coach's face is on tv in the living room of HS recruits the better. Love everything Penny brings: knowledge, swag, work ethic, respect, marketability. Embrace it. It's good for us.

I think Lil' Penny could work in a marketing campaign for next generation Foam-posits with the "1 Cent" brand. I see much of the Memphis gear Penny sports has the "1 Cent" logo on it. I think the Lil' Penny campaign will be in support of a "1 Cent" branding campaign, primarily supporting Memphis athletic gear. I don't think it will become "Jumpman" big, with a separate company and all, but with the cult following of the 1 Cent Foam-posits, Nike can make some good money on it. And if the Tigers get back to the tourney next year, I'm sure Nike will kick in significant marketing funds behind "1 Cent" Memphis Tiger gear and Foam-posits.

I sort of agree with this unless they got someone on the same or higher level. Someone who resonates today who would be perfect is Kevin Hart. Hart has a working relationship with Nike and I could see it happen. I think he would do the bit well. Can't just get some jabroni to do Lil Penny

John Martin and Geoff Calkins were talking about the Lil' penny come back this morning. They seem to think it would be a national, not regional, return.
